Venice is full of tourists!

However, the night is much less crowded because most of these tourists are day tripers. Usually from cruise ships that stop in Venice. They really do come by the flocks and just crowd the entire city. It's incredible!

Dad and I outside of the Campanile di San Marco. It was originally built as a lighthouse. But now, it's more of a view point. As far as I can see, it's the highest building in this part of Venice.

Check out the background!

The queue for Basilica di San Marco was so long! We decided to visit other stuff first.

The view from Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace). It is the most impressive circular building in Venice. many rooms and secret passages inside. However, it can only be truly enjoyed with a guide. Which we didn't have.

The is the view from one of the small holes from the Bridge of Sighs. The bridge is part of the palace. It is used for prisoners.

Look at the upcoming storm! Dad and I decided to have lunch, and when it poured, the line for the basilica shrinked, and that was when we started to line up! Hehe!

Inside the basilica.

Venice is an amazingly romantic place. As a personal opinion, even more so than Paris!

We went for a glass blowing demonstration in Murano. Murano is the most famous island on La Laguna.

Burano island is famous for it's lace and colourful houses.

On 12 June, we were able to witness the annual Vogalonga race! Many gondoliers race acorss the Grand Canal. It was quite funny, but they were a little too far to take close up shots!
